Full day float trips are offered on the James River, its tributaries and on the Shenandoah River. Lunch, snacks, drinks, and water are provided. Any and or all gear can be provided. You are welcome to bring your own and I'll still provide leaders, flies, and lures at no extra charge.
There are nine sections of the James I guide on, totaling over 50 miles. Each section is approximately 7 miles in length and has its own charater and make up. Depending on the time of year determines the sections being fished. Have confidence that you;ll be fishing the best section on the day of you trip.
The Shenandoah River provides terrific fishing for fly and spin fishermen. A great fishery located in a beautiful and historical setting. You'll be challenged by the many smallmouth and a chance to do battle with quality largemouth as well. Don't be surprised if your offering is suddenly attacked by one of the muskies that frequent the water.
The tributaries are wonderful to fish either wading or by floating. These little jewels are a great way to get away from the crowds. Wading allows you to slowly and meticulously fish each and every seam and pocket in pursuit of that trophy smallmouth.
